"Opening of Thessaloniki TechLab, the New American Corner in Thessaloniki" 

On Tuesday, April 12, the Thessaloniki TechLab of the sixth American Corner in Greece was successfully inaugurated at the Eduact educational association in Thessaloniki.
Thessaloniki TechLab is a multi-space innovation, technology, and culture center created with the support of the US Embassy in Athens and the US Consulate General in Thessaloniki; for the city and the wider area of ​​Thessaloniki.
The American Ambassador to Greece, the honorable Mr. Geoffrey Pyatt inaugurated the new space with great joy, and mentioned in his speech that he is proud of his cooperation with Eduact, the President of Kostas Vasileiou, and the other American corners in Greece. Through the desire of the United States to promote relations with the Greek people, is the creation of an excellent space with innovative technological ecosystems. At the same time, he said he was impressed by the operation of the American Corners as a complement to the diplomatic project. Finally, he thanked the participants for the work they have done, and that it is one of the best resources we have to engage with the local public and create real human relationships.

The President of Eduact, Mr. Kostas Vasileiou stated:

"Thessaloniki TechLab, which is a great gift for the city of Thessaloniki, will work towards bridging the gender gap, cultures and societies, and empower our people to promote positive commitment, transformation, and change.» He added that American Corners are- and always have been- places where people meet people, talk to people, and listen to people.They are open platforms for the community - equipped, designed, and operated in a way that promotes the concentration, inspiration, and empowerment of individuals. Finally, he thanked all those who participated in this creative project: the Gold Sponsors of Eduact Programs, which are the companies KLEEMANN, Hellenic Gold and TITAN, and the Big Sponsor, the Natural Mineral Water DIOS. Excited, he concluded by saying that our hard work and dedication must have led the Ambassador to envision another American Corner, which has become a reality.
